at the lavendar farm in melbourne. lavendar is not just purple in colour, but there are also other colours too. and essential oil can be drawn from the flowers through fractional distillation. a revision for chemistry.
at the strawberry farm. suddenly, it was raining. so i had to take out my hood from my jacket.
our combined efforts.
an old italian car which had many pairs of eyes fixed on it. i wonder if the people were looking at me or looking at the car. i was afraid that i may have to push that car along the highway.
new zeland, a land of 60 million sheep.
new zeland, a land of 60 million sheep.
a nice scenery.
what a contradiction. it's summer, but there is snow at the mountian.
thanks to my sister, i have tons of these waterfall pictures.
the world's most exciting shot over jet. the boat travls at 80km/h in still water. (VB/w = 80km/h)
you can do this in those ang moh countries. in singapore, you'll get dog and cat shit on your body. in china, you'll get salivary amylase on your body after that.
oh my gosh! it is a rainbow!
travelled for 6 hours just to see one miserable piece of glacier.
the world's best and my favourite airline. unlike air china, it is so good that it brings you to the sea and not the land.
my british airways business class seat. i sat at the upper deck.
the truly flat bed.
and last but not least, me!

i shall be like cyn-thia, talk about my holiday.
30/11/2004
i was in the airport in the evening. and i was being upgraded from the economy class to the better business class. i had a 180 degrees flat bed. and during the flight, i slept for 2 hours! there was so much of food to eat. i was so full. they had a 3 course dinner. and unlike the economy class, they served the salad, main course and desert one by one. my long bed was 4 windows worth.
1/12/2004
we reached the airport early in the morning. we tried to check into the hotel, but no rooms were available. so my family and i tried to sleep at the reception area. there came the china people talking at the top of their voices. oh my gosh. that was so irritating. couldn't sleep at all. i think they were all deaf. so in the afternoon we went to the factory outlets. in the end, i had nothing.
2/12/2004
went for a tour. it was not too bad. the seats were comfortable. went to lavendar farm to see how stuff like essential oil were mnufactured. after that we went to pluck strawberries from a farm. it was so fun. yet it was raining at the same time.
3/12/2004
in the morning we went to queen victoria market. brought some fruits like peaches etc. they were so cheap.continued shopping. the clothes in australia were so expensive. caught a flight to christchurch in the evening.
4/12/2004
checked in to the hotel at around 1 plus. our fruits were confiscated by the new zeland immigration. some of my hardwork strawberries that i plucked were gone too. new zeland has a channel that shows some advertisment for sex in the middle of the night. how disgusting. however, they showed american idol season 2.
5/12/2004
shopping day. i love the store called hallenstein. everything there is nice and cheap. i wished i could bring the shop back to singapore. anyway, if there is a shop in singapore, i would be their loyal customer. too bad they don't give any loyalty awards.
6/12/2004
another shopping day.
7/12/2004
we went to dundedin. i think the driver does not know how to drive. he made me vomit twice. that's a record breaking. after that we went out to the sea to see some wildlife. the sea was so choppy. i vomitted again, twice. all thanks to the driver.
8/12/2004
today we went to queenstown. 4 hours journey. throughout all the travelling, we saw alot of mountains and sheep. i read from somewhere that there are a total of 60 million sheep in new zeland. if the sheep have the ability to fight, i think they would be able to chase out all the new zelanders.
9/12/2004
a total of 10 hours travelling on the road just to see mountains in the sea as well as waterfall.
109/12/204
the best day in new zeland. my sister and i took the shotover jet. it was so thrilling and so fun. i shall post the picture up one day. after that we took a gondola, something like the cable car. not too bad. we managed to see the overview of queenstown.
10/12/2004
on the road again. we were heading to fox glacier. and so we travelled for many many hours just to see one miserable piece of glacier. and it was SOOOOO cold there. on our journey up, there was a candian guy. he was talking to me and he said that he would be going to asia earlier next year. he asked if it was safe to go to places like china and vietnam, since they are communist. and he was uncertain if he would be killed there. haha. it was so funny. communist = killing him. and when i told him that i was from singapore, he asked if i lived in the town or outskirts of the city. and in the bus, there was a highly possibe china man. he was taking pictures of everything, including the sea and the bridges that we crossed. it as if china has no china or bridge.
11/12/2004
today we went back to christchurch. on our way to the train station, there came the china man again. his surname is hua. it sounds like flower. haha. when we were in the train, there was a bunch of teenagers, from some foreign country talking so loudly in the train. it irritated so many passengers. i think they are from russia, another communist.
12/12/2004
last day in christchurch. we saw quite a number of singapore families along our whole tour. i ate an ice cream, and it was freezing! our rooms were so big. it was a suite.
13/12/2004
i woke up at 3 am new zeland time which is 10pm singapore time to rush for my flight to melbourne at 6.45am! i was dead tired, i did not even eat my breakfast. i slept throughout. the worst part arrived. i had to wait for 8 hours to connect my british airways flight back to singapore. all of us were arguing that we wanted a seat outside. so at melbourne airport, my fatehr went to ask the british airways counter if there were any seats available. so the lady told us to wait. after that she came back and told us that she got better seats for us. to my surprise, it was seat number 60! i thought we were thrown all the way back. but it stated J-class, Club World. that is business class! so i took business class back again. haha. so happy. one of the stewardess called my sister mrs ho.
i shall post the pictures soon. i have a photobucket already!
